Stunning Scenery at Speedwell Forge
The Speedwell Forge Bed and Breakfast features beautiful grounds in an area full serene, beautiful and stunning secnery. There is no shortage of open country farms, lakes, streams or wetlands in the Amish country here in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
However we encourage our guests to walk the 30+ acres available to our guests, plus the 20 acres of wetlands. The wetlands are a goldmine for wildlife lovers, especially for bird enthusiasts. Just across the road is the Speedwell Forge County nature park, featuring beautiful walking paths in the center of some of Pennsylvania’s most scenic countryside. Just a very short drive, we encourage guests to visit Middle Creek, another scenic and peaceful place to visit during your stay.

This was a fantastic Valentine’s Day. We had a wonderful time seeing the wolves again. We felt very welcomed. The room was incredible! Christopher asked me to marry him up on the hill, so it definitely will be a night to remember! Thanks so much!

You opened your wonderful home to strangers and made us feel like being home. Your hospitality was inconceivable.
The wolves were fascinating and we have spent much of the time to watch these magnificent animals.
Thank you for this beautiful sanctuary, not only for wolves, but also for people.

The peace…the quiet….the tranquility…what a magical escape from the rigors of daily existence. A breather we both desperately needed from the DC Area. Folks are actually NICE here!
And for now, we must return to the harshness of reality. Until our return, we will always have “the Paymaster’s Office.”

LOVE the room and amenities, LOVE the wolves and property (would really like to take a wolf home) LOVE the wonderful homemade breakfast and LOVE the friendly and gentle (not to mention history buff) Inn Keeper, Dawn.
Thank you so much for everything! We will be back for a stay as well as to bring our daughter for a tour. I am somewhat embarrassed to live so close to this treasure and not have known about it. Thanks for keeping our family’s history alive and well!

Staying at the B&B has been wonderful. It is beautiful, elegant, and relaxing. Dawn is really great. It feels good to be helping support the sanctuary. Being able to go out and visit the wolves is so great. They howled beautifully. It has been a really wonderful experience. We will be back.
