While we travel frequently, this was our first stay at a B&B. We carefully selected this one after checking many out online. We were not disappointed.
The Paymaster’s Office was both cozy and romantic. We enjoyed making our own cheese and then chocolate fondue in the kitchenette on Friday and received massages in our room, followed by a delicious filet mignon dinner prepared/served by Bill Schuler on Saturday. Both added a nice touch to our weekend!
Dawn’s breakfast was yummy both mornings! Thanks for the hospitality and a wonderful romantic weekend!

We enjoyed so much your B&B. I think we may have started a habit of staying at B&B’s now. Thanks for your gracious hospitality.

We had a wonderful time. This was our first B&B and enjoyed every minute especially breakfast. Dawn was not only an amazing hostess but a very interesting educator. My dream of seeing wolves happened here and I would like to thank not only Dawn but also her volunteers for making this a very special birthday.
Thank you all,
Jim and Veronica
What an absolutely incredible experience. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted by Dawn in her lovely home. The stillness, quiet and calm of the entire house caused us to take pause as we absorb this modern anachronism. Also, I just really liked that shoes weren’t allowed in the house. It was just another reminder that we were in the process of slowing down time.
Then we went to visit with the wolves. It was one of those ineffable experiences where an hour goes by and you are so engrossed in the moment that you forget how cold you are. It was ice, muddy and chilly but none of that mattered as we wandered from pack to pack watching them play, how, and lay around in the last rays of dying sunlight.
Breakfast review: Delicious! We had granola, grapefruit, coffee and apple waffles, and orange juice. And we blabbed with Dawn, and two other great guests. Now we are about to go on a wolf tour.
Thanks for such an awesome experience!

Happy Birthday to me!! What an absolutely beautiful, wondrous place to stay, especially after seeing the wolf tour today.
Thank you, Dawn, for your hospitality and humor, and for having the foresight and fortitude to restore so much of this incredible property. And for saving these wolves…
