- Cable TV and DVD player and a wide selection of movies
- A full three-course breakfast
There are two comfortable chairs, but you’ll probably spend more time curled up in one of the deep window ledges. The views are lovely any time of the year, especially in the morning as the birds welcome the new day.
$180 per night plus tax
While you are here be sure to visit the amazing Wolf Sanctuary of PA which is located on our grounds. Learn more about the sanctuary by visiting the website.
The bathroom originally had a large walk-in closet and tiny bathtub. In changing the layout, we were able to match the original 1940s tile exactly, and we installed radiant floor heat underneath, so the bathroom is warm and inviting all year long.

Dawn and Darin,
We had a wonderful time staying at this B&B. It was great seeing the wolves and learning how they live. You have great hospitality, and you went out of your way to accommodate us since we came on the wrong weekend. Oops! It was great meeting you and your staff.
Thank you for the wonderful stay,
Brent and Darlene
The room and all of its furnishings are gorgeous. I enjoyed all of the small homey gestures like the make-up remover wipes, scented soaps and fans. You are a wonderful host and the breakfast you served was one of my favorite parts of the day because it was so yummy and refreshing company.
Thank you for all you do!

Just married 5/31/14, came to check in 6/1/14. We have been here for a day – tour last spring. Our honeymoon was held until late this summer and we had no hesitation on deciding where to spend our “mini-moon”…in peaceful Lititz, Pa with the wolves! Kathryn’s room is very elegant, natural, and the bathroom is so accommodating. Dawn and Darin are wonderful people with big hearts. You can tell they enjoy what they do, and really love their wolves. We are fortunate to have such a haven close-by to our hometown of Baltimore. We will be back soon!

First weekend away (no kids) in four years!! This was the perfect place for it. Not too far away, but it felt very far. Very peaceful. The room was beautiful, breakfast was always a treat! Hope to come try another room, hopefully in less than 4 years!

As I begin to write I look out the window and see evidence of the rolling hills of Pennsylvania and a wonderful husky snoozing or just relaxing below. My vantage point is from a restored historical house, done with care and maintained with love from one generation to the next. All is well here and Pat and I are better from our short stay. Good food, good people, in a wonderful setting. We pledge to return again with some friends.

We’ve had a lovely stay. Quite an unexpected experience in the middle of our longer trip. Will be recommending the B&B.

This was our first stay at a B&B, and what a wonderful experience. Wolves are my favorite animals and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with them. Thank you for a wonderful weekend, our birthdays this weekend are and will be a fantastic memory- we will be back!!

What a lovely surprise this has been! My husband too, planned this for my birthday to celebrate our anniversary. I had no clue as to where we were going. All he said was that we were staying at a B&B and he also “howled!” That did nothing to give it away, since I did not know about this place. So… imagine my excitement as we pulled up to the gates!!
The tour was our first time and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Chuck, our guide, was so knowledgeable. I now want to do my own reading and research on wolves. The opportunity to roam the grounds and trails added to the enjoyment (though at our ages we huffed and puffed going up and down the hills).
Needless to say, we are looking forward to Dawn’s breakfast, that we have already heard is “to die for!” will let you know afterwards.
Breakfast was yummy!! And the conversation was very enjoyable! Dawn was a wonderful hostess and innkeeper!
We would definitely return here again. This has been a lovely getaway!

Celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Snow reminded us of the blizzard in 1962 when we shared our vows.
The wolves helped us celebrate by howling at the full moon. Your B&B was the crowning touch.

Back at Speedwell for the fifth time (our second say in this wonderful room) and we certainly are made to feel like family. Spent yesterday “stimulating the local economy” at the outlets topped off with a stop at Lancaster Brewing Company for “victuals and libations.” Highly recommended. Try the Hop Hog IPA or the Billy Bock. Today we continued the local economy rescue by visiting the shops at Brickerville and downtown Lititz. Had an early dinner with new friends Ed and Christine (whom we met over breakfast) and then attended the full moon tour. As always the wolves were fantastic. Once again, we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here at Speedwell Forge and the surrounding area. And again, I am certain we will return.

Sitting in the window with the morning sun shining in, looking across the beautiful snow covered yard. How amazingly calming it is here. Truly Dawn and Darin, you are blessed to be able to share so much nature and history with others. Dawn your breakfast was amazing and surely a treat for all whom are fortunate to discover your little piece of heaven. Last night just made us feel so alive when moon full and the packs singing and fire blazing. You both do a wonderful job.

We are so happy to have discovered Speedwell Forge…. Loved staying in Kathryn’s room, the beautiful restoration of the house, the grounds, the out buildings, and the peaceful tranquility of the situation. And the wolves! What a unique experience to be able to watch them in all their magnificence. We will be back! Memorable

A wonderful interesting stay. It is amazing that you could “see the bones” of the place, and bring it back from the brink- without losing sight of where you wanted to go.
The wolf work is important stuff.
Ron and I had a lovely stay here. The bed and breakfast is beautiful – lovely home and serene, picturesque surroundings. Your hospitality was delightful and the breakfasts were amazing! We had a fantastic weekend and are looking forward to the wolf tour this morning. We will be back – hopefully very soon!

My husband booked this room to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary mainly because a gluten free breakfast was offered. I am so glad he did! This place is beautiful. The grounds are peaceful and the wolves were very interesting to watch. The breakfast was beyond amazing! Our room was homey and very comfortable. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and for accommodating my dietary needs!

OMG, your home and grounds are overwhelming and how gracious of you to share it with friends as a Bed and Breakfast! We feel extremely honored to stay with you, as this is our introduction to B&B Inns. We are in the area to attend our Great Grandnephew’s baptism tomorrow in Lititz, Pa. Thank you for your humble hospitality Kathryn’s room is lovely! Could go on and on….will save some for our next visit when we can visit the wolf sanctuary. We hear that is a treat also.

What a wonderful B&B ! The home and property are absolutely beautiful. Your hospitality is second to none. We enjoyed talking with you and learning of your love for the wolves. They are very interesting animals. We got to experience the pack howling, that was amazing. All in all, a fantastic experience. We will share our thoughts with friends and family. I am sure you will have others from the family headed your way.
Thanks and God bless you,

This visit was a surprise to celebrating my 67th birthday. What an enjoyable time. Appreciated Dawn’s desire to make our wishes come true. I always have steak and eggs on my birthday and wouldn’t you know when she found that out, she made steak and egg pie for breakfast.
May God’s blessings be present and felt by each guest.

Magical. Be sure to go to the top of the hill and talk to the dark wolf. He will howl with you and when the others howl, you are lifted above the earth.
