While you are here be sure to visit the amazing Wolf Sanctuary of PA which is located on our grounds. Learn more about the sanctuary by visiting the website.
The bathroom originally had a large walk-in closet and tiny bathtub. In changing the layout, we were able to match the original 1940s tile exactly, and we installed radiant floor heat underneath, so the bathroom is warm and inviting all year long.

What a wonderful place! We thoroughly enjoyed the room (fireplace and tub!), the breakfasts (yummy!) and the company. Sorry to be leaving so soon. It’s very cozy and relaxing here and we’ll be sure to come back in the spring yet to see the wolves- last thing to do before we leave.
Thanks Dawn and Darin for the hospitality. You made us feel at home.

Back at Speedwell for the fifth time (our second say in this wonderful room) and we certainly are made to feel like family. Spent yesterday “stimulating the local economy” at the outlets topped off with a stop at Lancaster Brewing Company for “victuals and libations.” Highly recommended. Try the Hop Hog IPA or the Billy Bock. Today we continued the local economy rescue by visiting the shops at Brickerville and downtown Lititz. Had an early dinner with new friends Ed and Christine (whom we met over breakfast) and then attended the full moon tour. As always the wolves were fantastic. Once again, we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here at Speedwell Forge and the surrounding area. And again, I am certain we will return.

Celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Snow reminded us of the blizzard in 1962 when we shared our vows.
The wolves helped us celebrate by howling at the full moon. Your B&B was the crowning touch.
